Additionally, Bruce has served as public affairs manager with Marriott Corporation, director of public relations with the United States Olympic Committee, and director of marketing for the American Red Cross Bay Area chapter.
Credited with designing the first “cause marketing” campaign between Marriott Corporation and the March of Dimes over 30 years ago, Bruce is a nationally-recognized expert in the design and implementation of cross-sector partnerships and cause marketing.
He designed the most successful cause marketing program on emergency preparedness in the country through a partnership between the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the American Red Cross Bay Area, raising $1 million, garnering over $3 Million in free publicity, and resulting in an unprecedented 1,000,000 people being trained.
Bruce was awarded the Distinguished Leadership Award, presented by the National Association of Community Leadership.
